2020 NFL Season Thread

An anomaly would be Tebow doing that. And Brady isn’t on pace for it either. There were other issues in TB outside of Jameis to say it was mostly on him for their failures. I can agree that he’s been somewhat disappointing but to say he’s trash is unfair.

I didn’t say it was mostly on Jameis for Tampa’s season last year, but them pick sixes definitely played a part. It isn’t somewhat either. He’s a number one overall pick that’s probably gonna be on his third team next season. It’s a major disappointment.

Peyton vs. Jameis Stats first 5 years:

Peyton: 20,618 passing yards; 138 TDs, 100 INTs, 62.1 Completion percentage.; 85.9 QB rating; 4.9 TD rate; 3.5 INT rate

Jameis: 19,737 passing yards; 121 TDs, 88 INTs, 61.3 Completion percentage 86.9 QB rating; 4.7 TD rate; 3.5 INT rate

Are they your team?

"Payton has said publicly for the last three years that he believes the 30-year-old Hill could be successful as a starting quarterback in the NFL -- even though he has attempted only 20 career passes, including the playoffs."

He's his coach. He can assess him without seeing him on Sundays. I don't even get what this post is saying

I hate this shit but people love saying it

I’m asking because I wanted to know if you watch them every week. Jameis doesn’t play for my team currently. ?

Lol, I watch everyone as much as I can. Especially Jameis cuz he was entertaining as hell last year. You didn’t know what that nigga was gonna do week by week. You know I know he ain’t on your team but you sure defend him like he is.

I’m not saying your opinion is invalid. Tampa being one of the worst defensive teams last year played a part. This year they’re top 5.

Who out here really saying Jameis performance comparable to a young Peyton? They do remember Peyton actually won football games right?

:huh2:

Not to say Jameis ain’t capable of being solid, but come on it’s Peyton Manning.

We have pretty much the same defense. A new rookie safety. The QB not turning the ball over like 35 times helps minimize opponent's possessions, keep points off the board, maintain momentum, and let's the defense stay off the field.

Same coaches same scheme but the reason for the defense being trash is Jameis? How do you come up with this shit?

Brady is turning it over though lol.

So you saying with better coaching he can’t improve?

Was he not #1 pick that has all the smarts and arm talent?

Just asking.

I'm saying it's a trash comparison.

Peyton came in the league in 98.
  • 2 players threw for 4,000+ yards
  • 7 completed over 60% of their passes
  • 6 players threw at least 25 TD's
  • 10 players threw at least 15 INT's

Winston came in the league in 2015.
  • 12 players threw for 4,000+ yards
  • 26 players completed over 60% of their passss (just looking at those with one 1000 yards)
  • 14 players threw at least 25 TD's
  • 6 players (including Winston) threw at least 15 INT's
Not gonna give Winston props for putting up similar numbers in 2015 -2019 as Peyton did in 98 - 02. Apples and oranges.
