On one hand, it could mean that the judge doesn't believe that Chauvin unintentionally killed Floyd and thus a third degree murder charge wouldn't apply. On the other hand, it could be that the judge is trying to get rid of a possible option for the jury potentially giving a way for them to acquit the cop.

They are going to acquit regardless.
 
I don't know. I honestly don't think they want to acquit Chauvin. Maybe they'll let the others go, but I think Chauvin gotta take the fall for this one.
 
What's the story?
Very sketchy right now but ive read a cop saw two black people sitting in a car and deemed it suspicious and when he walked up to the car he claims it went in reverse so he opened fire as if his life was in danger.. he killed the passenger
