These dudes would be surprised to know the US is low compared to other developed countries concerning taxes. What do you think a reasonable tax rate would be for those making over 400k a year?
Flat tax across the board for middle class and up or something else??
And what would you define as the poverty line? Understand it can't be the same in every state.Id agree with this in conjunction with closing the loopholes but at the same time I dont think folks that arent making very much a year should be paying 28-35%. It should be a flat rate once you're above the poverty line imo.
I wonder how that loophole shit works. Are the loopholes only applicable after you make a certain amount? If not, what's stopping the average person from using these loopholes to not pay taxes outside of not actually having the knowledge/information?

$55k in Mississippi is balling.
$55k in California is poverty.
There is. My point was that a flat tax would hurt because the poverty rates are different from state to state. Taxes are much too complicated to make a flat tax.Isnt there a federal poverty level or income amount that's determined for each state?

So maybe I missed it. What are you proposing? A flat tax on earners over the poverty line and what tax on those below the poverty line?Howso? If there are clear guidelines on what the poverty level is for each state... if you are above that poverty line.. you pay the flat tax rate.
You dont think thats LESS complex than having multiple tiers/brackets for each and every state?

The first place they should start is closing all the fucking tax loopholes. Once they do that see how the shit works out and go from there. Raising the taxes without even closing the loopholes will never give a clear picture of what those people making that much money really should be contributing to taxes and if its fair or not.
The shit that gets me more than niggas being inconsistent flip floppers is that even more niggas excuse in themselves what they won't excuse in others.
On top of that not even man enough to admit when the shit is pointed out to them.

U got the whole $75 back??There is one loophole that works all across the board for everyone involved--
--DONATIONS.
As long as you can prove you donated to a cause, you can get that $$$$$ back come Tax Season. I tried that Years ago with a Benefit Concert when I was living in L.A. The show was $75 and I managed to keep the stub, but not for Tax reasons. When Tax Season came around, I remembered the stub, applied it to my Return, and received that $$$$$ back. Rich People do this shit all the time, and it's not because they're Philanthropists.
U got the whole $75 back??
I thought u only get back 10% of your write offs
