however, i feel like she knew he wasn't in the position to pay so she went elsewhere for help. she was aware of her situation and in turn did what she had to do to not only help her child, but his father, who is now in a better position financially.

so i legit dont get it. sure he should have stepped up but if he cant afford it, he cant afford it...

i wouldnt depend on him either.

No she didn't make a good decision, she struggled with her child because she wanted to be a cool baby momma
 
Every situation is different.

Its hard to come up with a right or wrong way to handle something knowing that shit is impossible.

In this specific case, i dont have an issue with what she did. Idk why people are mad at her for gaming the system. Shit i done gamed the system a ton of times.

It looks like the way she handled it worked out for them. The kid is 11 and his parents dont seem to hate eachother which is always great to see.

Like I ain’t got no issue gaming the system and gotta survive but I don’t think she should be looked at as a cool bm because she let him skate for 8 years. But every situation is different and nobody wants the white folks in your business

A lot of times the child support dont even be about the money its a tool that is used by the mother for whatever reason to punish or get back at the father for whatever happened in the relationship.

They will put him on child support knowing full well he aint able to pay...therefore they know the implications
