Kyle Rittenhouse Trial (Jacob Blake Protest Shooting)

You’re in here arguing self defense aka stand your ground. Wisconsin doesn’t have a stand your ground law. So what self defense are possibly talking about?

Where did I say “self defense was illegal” ?

Smh. Self defense aka stand your ground? NO man. Nobody's talking about stand your ground.

Self-defense is a broad term. Under it are different laws with different requirements for being able to claim self defense. You're the only one in here talking about stand your ground.

You're way off on this one.

Nope you are way off. He can’t claim self defense when he decides to go there across state lines with an illegal weapon. Self defense based on how you’re describing it is basically stand your ground and since that law doesn’t exist in Wisconsin then on what grounds can he get off on self defense?

Bruh, you don't know what stand your ground is.

He's not listening to me. Can someone on his side help explain "stand your ground" defense, and that that's not what's being used here? @Inori @Mister @Chicity

Dont @ me no more until they at trial

Too much guess work and failed Jack McCoy impressions for my liking

Aye man I dont want any parts of this foolishness.

Lock that dude the fuck up and his Mom too. That's where I'm at with it

I'm not asking y'all to agree with me or say he's innocent. I'm saying help him understand stand your ground laws. And explain that stand your ground isn't the defense his lawyers are using.

You said he was justified in using his illegal firearm. So under what category does any of that fall into to?

Description
A stand-your-ground law provides that people may use deadly force when they reasonably believe it to be necessary to defend against a threat of death, serious bodily harm, kidnapping, rape, or robbery or some other serious crimes.

Did Rittenhouse feel like his life was in danger? Did he feel like there was a threat for bodily harm?

Then what is his “defense” then? You keep saying this over and over? He doesn’t have a defense lol.

On what grounds can Rittenhouse get off on self defense if he went across state lines while possessing an illegal weapon?

God daaammnnn mannnn. Illegal possession of a firearm doesn't mean you can't claim self defense if you use it. It's just the law man. Just went over this. If you don't like it, write a letter to Wisconsin senators or something.

dude walking around brandishing an assault weapon can be seen as an act of aggression in itself... what about the self defense of the people dude was trying to intimidate with his illegal firearm?

Damnit I said I wanted nothing to do with this bullshit.. lol im out

Stand your ground means he doesn't have to retreat before using deadly force. THAT'S WHAT STAND YOUR GROUND IS! YOU CAN STAND YOUR GROUND!

So if you're across the street from someone holding a knife, and they say "when the crosswalk says to cross, I'm coming to stab you" you can wait on the light to change then kill him when he walks up to you. That's stand your ground.

In states without that law, you'd be arrested because you're required to try to retreat from the situation (if possible) before using deadly force. You could have gotten away instead of waiting on the light.

WI doesn't have stand your ground, so he'd be required to try to get away from the threat. He ran away... that's him retreating. He did that before resorting to deadly force. That's why he can claim self defense. That's why stand your ground doesn't apply.

Show me a link that states that.

You're dumb man. If I prove that illegal possession of the weapon doesn't mean you can't claim self defense, then what? You'll say you were wrong, and him illegally having the gun has nothing to do with his self defense claim?
I thought we were the “emotional” ones and you’re the objective thinking rational one? You big mad...

Dodged the question.

Stupidity can be frustrating. It's embarrassing how long it took you to understand stand your ground (if you even get it now).I'm out of here until new info comes out. If they can prove Rosenbaum had a justifiable reason to go after him...lock Rittenhouse up. If they can't...elt him go. That's my stance. Now I'm just waiting on facts.
