So to be clear, people on another continent...who's ancestors weren't victimized by the transatlantic slave trade...have an opinion on those people who ARE directly affected by the slave trade...and I'm supposed to care about it or take it seriously?

Some black immigrants come here to america and look down on black americans but they're going to accept us coming to different African countries setting up shop and getting money.

Show me all these black people going on in droves to Africa and setting up shop. It's different when its not a lot of people doing but when its masses of people doing something and the portion the native people used to get starts getting even smaller that is going to cause a conflict.

Don't try to base that small amount of people in Ghana to masses of black american flooding Ghana and setting up. That is just dumb on your part.

What is the point of what he's saying? Slavery of course didn't affect the people still in Africa the way it affected the people who were sold out of Africa. Colonialism is still in the past, and African countries are still recovering from that. Africans haven't moved past that, so why should African Americans move past the slavery without any restitution.

Also, I'd agree that the view of Africa that African Americans and Americans in general have is probably wrong, let's not act like it's some kind of Shagri-la. Africa still has a lot of problems, so it's not like the average African American is going be able to just pick an African country and go there and build a life.
