Too many light skinned people in it
some white writers involved
Peele got a white wife
JJ Abrams is white

Race done already started a petition to have this removed from HBO and Jordan Peele banned from Hollywood.

Her hatred for that man is real. Lol

The trailer was great.

Shit is crazy that yall don't see how classifying anything about the Jim Crow era anything but a true documentary. Making a horror series about Jim Crow gives white people even more validation in the no fucks they give about what we as black people been through and black person shouldn't ever do that.

The trailer looked interesting.
I might re-up the free HBO trial to check it out.

Some of y’all just hate just to hate but always complain when we get stereotypical roles or type cast or them keep making slave movies about us and Tyler Perry running everything. We haven’t had a black person do sci-fi movies or horror movies like Jordan Peele I bet if this was a white person making it niggas would be dick riding it and all over it talking about they can’t wait to watch it we are own worst enemy when it comes to shit sometimes niggas love to complain just to complain. My only problem with this it looks like a Movie that should have been put on Netflix and not a Series other then that it looks good tho

Lol. The only niggas in here complaining complain about everything. They are trolls and malcontents. You gotta consider the source sometimes.

It's not that serious.

I actually felt like Race did when I first heard this. I will say the series is going to be based on pre-existing work, so there is the chance that the source material was actually good and that's why this is getting pushed.

Whites and Blacks alike don't understand Jim Crow status on a small scale. I don't think we are at the point as a culture where we can start retelling these stories from a lens designed to mock or entertain.

Why don't people think critically about what they consume?

Jordan peele has some very lopsided views on race. Just revisit the things he's said on Key and Peele. I don't think he's in the position to retell our stories.

Nigga is cashing out big on racial issues that still plague society and it's exploitative as fuck

I'm certain next year he'I'll do a sci-fi series on chattel slavery and niggas will call it groundbreaking lol

I mean Jim Crow laws/policies are still alive and well today. Maybe we should tackle that first...

If you want to watch a Jim Crow horror series go watch 13th or The Black power mixtape or Eyes on the prize.

Jim Crow in itself is a horror series. TF lmao
Who would've thought we'd agree on something?
