Always fucking up and acting dumb as shit. I mean the shit that they do is foul as fuck. Levi was a grimey motherfucker, then you had Judah knocking up his daughter in law, you had Simeon attacking folks for no reason. I mean are these really who want to look up to as our ancestors? You had cats in the niger delta preaching peace and wisdom Orunmila. They had no innovations, no new technology, architect, science, music and etc. No diss if these were your ancestors, but lets be real we have a great history as well and that innovated the world. That's facts.

I'm iffy af on this these days but.according to the Bible Abraham was the first to see God as one and not multiple gods. Due to his extreme faith God made a covenant with him promising children and multitude of descendants to rule the land known as Israel and those who bless Abraham or his descendants take part in the covenant as well

So even tho the Jews are the chosen people anyone who believes can inherit the same promises and blessings

Abraham is also a significant character in Judaism, Christianity and islam
 
I think also Abraham coming from a pagan upbringing and being everything the biblical God is against makes him an unlikely but redeeming person to fill the role. I don't take the Bible literal but I think in Abraham being the chosen one to birth a chosen offspring is sending the message that doesn't matter where u came from to inherit the kingdom of God it's what u do that determines where u go

And thing is they were warned everytime. Them niggas wanted a King like everybody else. Samuel was like y’all don’t know what you asking for. Saul became king and hater, David set a man up so he can fuck his wife, and Solomon(my favorite biblical person) had like 300 wives.
