Snoop: I Wasn’t Feeling 2Pac's Hit Em up/Defends Biggie

I think the whole concept of, "riding with your homies" is juvenile and naive.

We can grow up with each other and know each other since kindergarten, but that doesn't mean I'm going to fight all of your battles with you. I got my own life and my own priorities (family, work, reputation, freedom, etc.)

If you make a record saying you fucked somebody else's wife, I can't "ride" with you after that. That's stepping over the line and I'm not going to risk getting shot, stabbed, knuckled down or blacklisted because YOU started a beef with somebody else.

Even if you're family, BLOOD, I'm still not going to jump into every battle with you ride or die.

At some point you have to grow up. You have to step back and look at the situation and say to yourself, 'family or no family, who is right and who is wrong?' If your personal homie is in the wrong you should pull your homie to the side and say, "look we're homies, but I can't ride with you because you're in the wrong."

"We're still fam but, I'm not willing to go to prison or get shot, or get blacklisted over this situation."

Nah it's probably the most memorable diss song of all time due to it being straightforward with no subliminals.

Its also the most memorable verses or well known outlaws verses.

Also the most famous outro rant

MAybe so BUT the diss is trash. No Vaseline is a better diss track one rapper going at 4 people to me but when that song dropped it dropped out of nowhere. There was no coverage of the beef between Cube and NWA like it was Pac and Biggie.

That's because Hip Hop as a whole wasn't as mainstream in 92 like it was in 1996.

There were more Hip Hop magazines in the mid 90s.

Snoop such a clown and caricature of himself these days

Dude been exposed himself as someone who stays switching sides and has no loyalty outside of Dre

Snoop will post a pic of Pac saying, "I always got ya back" and then do an interview sneak dissing Pac!
Dude is close to 50 and still acting like this, Ice T stay sneak dissing Pac too while calling him his friend!

So basically it's against the rules to criticize 2Pac?

Is there a rule that says EVERYBODY has to like 2Pac as a person?

I'm asking for a friend.
