So you talking bout 2 liner bar with a metaphors. Like a big l, Cassidy, or any other rapper that did a lot of punch lines. Naw, Kendrick doesn't have any stand outs like that. But he makes complete bodies of work on good productions. Great concept songs. His story telling abilities are superb. Talks about multiple topics. That is why he is a heavy weight. I'm not taking anything from Lupe. I like him. Haven't heard all his albums but I have the first 2.

Take big and Pac for example. I'm not comparing big and Pac to Lupe and Kendrick. Big had better punch lines and metaphors and had great story telling abilities. Pac made better content. By content, his topics touched on a lot of different things and it touched people differently. And I like biggie better than Pac but I like both.
 
Lupe can rhyme I'll give him that but buddy quit rap to be a samurai. He's the Jack Sparrow of nerd nigga rap....... FOH b

Kendrick b has maybe 3 or 4 songs solo I'll hit play on. His joints with Ab Soul back in the day is my shit tho.

Both of these niggas are overrated and goofy niggas hero's.

What is your definition of an MC? He is a master of ceremony. He is a lyricists. His impact is huge. He won a Pulitzer prize. His words has meaning. So, if you don't have out of this world metaphors and similes and doesn't make you an MC? His words have meaning. He delivers messages. Your opinion but I just don't get your definition of an MC.

Imo he's an above average rapper with a good message and listenable music
