Official 2019-2020 NBA Thread

Why not? If they were on the conference call and didn't hear that then, they didn't hear him say it.. lmao.

Even the reporter who started all this admitted that Kyrie didn't say what he reported in that specific conference call. Kyrie in the past had talked about the players starting their own league but not at that moment. The reporter sensationalized his input to get more exposure
Why did Kyrie leave the group chat then lol (allegedly)

Because he (like anybody watching this unfold) can see the media is using him as a lightning rod for controversy.

I honestly don't blame him for bringing up another point of view when it comes to the restart of the season because

1. It's his job as one of the vice presidents of the NBAPA
2. There are actual players who have concerns about the restart

The way they handled this whole situation was not the smartest from the beginning. They should've had 1 representative from each team get votes, comments, and concerns from their respective teams and had a conference call with the representatives, NBAPA members, referee representative, an owner representative, and Adam Silver. Then once all those folks hashed out everything then Silver should've contacted the venue's they had aligned to see if they could accommodate and then the television networks...

This shit is so ass backwards and it's hard to get anything done effectively and efficiently if you have 300+ people all voicing their issues at one time.
