Markkanen is contract eligible this offseason, but considering he had a down year to go with a lowered salary cap due to COVID-19, it would be unlikely him and the Bulls come to an agreement. He still has one year left on his rookie deal before becoming a restricted free agent, however Markkanen did make it clear about his love for Chicago. “I want to stay in Chicago and sign an extension (with the Bulls), no question. I love this city.”

“The whole night, I kinda had a feeling I was going 2 or 3,” said the All-Star guard. “We knew AD [Anthony Davis] was going 1. So I already knew I was going to Charlotte or Washington. When we’re sitting in the draft room, sure enough, my agent is tapping me like, ‘It’s possible you might go to OKC.’ ‘Damn, how am I gonna go there? I didn’t even work out for OKC. I only worked out for three teams: Washington, Cleveland, and Charlotte.’ “So the deal was to trade James to Washington, OKC trades up to 2 or 3, get me, trade James to Washington,” Beal went on. “I’d have been in OKC with KD [Kevin Durant] and Russ[ell Westbrook]. It was almost done.”

Know y’all may not like Bill Simmons but he gave a prediction for how the NBA will come back as long as there aren’t any setbacks with possible coronavirus results:

On his podcast with Ryen Russillo, Simmons floated some target dates that he had heard the NBA is currently looking at as they attempt to finish the 2019-2020 season.

Here are the key dates, as long as nothing weird happens.

July 25 - Playoffs begin

September 20 - Game 7 of the NBA Finals

September 24/September 25 - NBA Draft

October 1 - Free agency begins

December 25 - '20/'21 NBA season tips off

So because the rest of season will take place in one location are they going to take the chance and run the playoffs 1-16? I think it's as good a time as any to test that shit out as far as competition. It obvi doesn't answer any questions as far as travel and time zones go.

I said the same thing. Really got nothing to lose at this point.
