I see it's the quarterly "I'm not gonna make any threads but I will shit on the ones that are made" time of the year

See y'all next quarter

Man I start my new job next week, when I went their for the interview, man their facilities were great, nothing but bad women walking around in sexy business attire, they had a huge lunch room with a chef on staff, quiet rooms and a fucking large gym..

Cause of Covid they made my position permanently home base SMwhatever2jpg.png

Ain't that some shit

I don't even think you get my argument, so we'll leave it there.

How so? The man's job is to address the medical crisis and the things that can be done to improve chances of survival. Ya'll are mad at him because he did that instead of using his platform to address societal issues. That makes no sense.

It’s not that he is warming people about the dangers it’s that he literally said black and Latinos stop smoking and drinking so you can not get corona virus. That really had to be tailored to us specifically in front of all those crackers. I mean it’s looks a certain way and he should’ve did better.

Ya'll seem to be intentionally misrepresenting what this dude was saying. Let's both agree he probably could have said things better. He tried to relate on a casual level and apparently that pissed people off. It seems like something stupid to get mad at IMO, but whatever. Ya'll feel how ya'll feel.

Let's get to the substance of the discussion, which is really what ya'll seem to be misrepresenting and which is dangerous because he is actually giving information that people need to heed. First, he didn't just randomly single blacks and hispanics out. He was specifically addressing the fact that blacks and hispanics are dying at almost twice the rate as whites. Niggas have been complaining about the fact that the government has been ignoring that, and now when they address it, you're complaining about them singling blacks out? That doesn't make sense.

Anyway, he said blacks and latinos need to "step it up" with social distancing, staying at home when possible, and refraining from smoking and alcohol. Those are NOT things he has said apply only to blacks and latinos. Those are what they've been telling everyone to do from the start. He's only making this special statement to blacks and latinos because we seem to be at higher risk, so of course it is even more important for us to take proper precautions.

Lastly, he didn't ignore the societal problems. He said more than once that those contribute. For example, he pointed out that blacks are less likely to have jobs that allow teleworking so they are constantly put in more danger. Like I said. Ya'll feel how ya'll. My problem is that some are using this bullshit to dismiss what he said, and that's dangerous because maybe you should slow down on the smoking if that could help your chances of survival if you get the virus.

Nobody is dismissing any of the sound medical advice he gave bro literally nobody.

Bruh, the dude gave a bunch of advice and explained why it was particularly important for blacks and latins. The interviewer basically heard all he said and responded with "But why you just talking to black people huh?" That's being dismissive, and if you're defending what she did, you're being dismissive too.

What is this supposed to prove? I saw the conference. He said exactly what I said he said. Paraphrased: These communities are at a higher risk. These are some things you can do to lower the risk. People in these communities need to step up because they are most vulnerable. The chick then asked why he used that language and why did he say that catching the coronavirus is a matter of behavior. The question about the language is stupid. Who gives a fuck about him saying Big Mama or Pop Pop? If ya'll want to act like both aren't commonly used in the black community or like Abuela isn't literally the term for grandmother in Spanish, go for it. The part about behavior is what is problematic, because to some extent the spread of this disease is behavior related. He didn't say black and hispanic people were the only ones fucking up. He said we need to be more vigilant because we are at higher risk. Don't give me a video of Roland Martin babbling. If you got a problem, tell me exactly where he was wrong in his statement.

you got it... you are no stranger to taking these contrarian views that shouldn't even need an explanation on why whatever situation may be.. is dare i say it " problematic"

he didn't have to say it.. he could have said Americans and left out black and Hispanic trope like he was trying to help us..like he was trying to relate He could have shed light on the inequities that produce these outcomes of larger percentages of black and latinos hospitalization and death..
