I agree but also his inspirational messages feel like they'll get old real quick.

Steph loved him cause steph is all about the bible, not sure how KD and Kyrie will react to him long term.

But he is the type of coach yall need. Lile I said yesterday star players need a star coach most of the time.

I'm running this into the ground because it's more apparent ever than now that you can dish it but you can't take it

my position about this current Pelicans team has been consistent since the start of the season.

*develop the young players

*establish a culture become a place players actually want to come

if they made the playoffs, which to me was a long shot from jump, that was a bonus. Once it started looking like the playoffs were actually an achievable goal, I got excited at the thought but still tempered expectations

you been in here since day one with the jokes and as long as you could call Zion poboy and shit, you was gravy.

I told you what would happen if they won, so I hope your angst is properly guided towards Freeman and not me for doing what I told you would happen

Star players be backwards af. If was a star I’d rather the dork coach I have zero in common with like Budenholzer or some shit.

Great X’s and O’s makes the game easier for you and especially for the role players you’re gonna have to depend on.

And I doubt going by some of Mark’s takes when analyzing games that there has been a lot of focus on X’s and O’s In his time away. He still seems to be on the same type of time.

In comparison I know Monty Williams talked about learning a lot and focusing on what failed him in New Orleans and really focusing on becoming better. Picking Popovich and other x and o savants minds on that end of coaching. And so far it’s been showing in his improvement in Phx.

but who knows I could be wrong and Mark did the same behind the scenes but I doubt it.

I guess its hard to tell a mfer like Kyrie what do when it comes to basketball. Kyrie and KD and other stars feel like they know more basketball than any coach ever could.

Even now they probably thinking of who the best coach would be to get the best out the other guys on the team cause they good.

In reality, you limit yourself in anything as soon as you're the smartest guy in the room. A great in anything should always try to surround themselves by people who know more.
 
Mark Jackson a down grade from Kenny Atkinson imo

Cant complain about the offense and then want a guy who couldn't field a 10 top offense with Steph and Klay

Granted its probably going to be a lot of Kyrie and KD iso ball next season regardless of who they hire

Joerger a better coach than Jackson but he wears on organizations and probably wouldnt work with Kyrie

I only said mark Jackson for the cool factor and it’s what “players would appreciate”

he’s like the Crawford of coaches imo

nets could surely do better but when Kyrie and KD come back how much coaching do you really need the coach to do? Probably just need to manage egos and be a player’s coach more than anything which is why I think it would be fine. Anything to get him off of calling games

he’s somehow gotten worse

I hate when Mark Jackson get picked on when there’s 20 nba coaches who suck at any one time

Whoever the coach is don’t get the full reigns when you got players of that caliber, it’s going have to be partnership. Mark Jackson better than a lot of guys.

I can understand if Atkinson couldn’t or didn’t want to make adjustment
