i think there needs to be a thread to set criteria before we have thread like these TBH.

Because it inevitably ends up being an argument about whose favorite artists are trash or not.

So all I’m gathering is that hip-hop only has 4 universally accepted legend... Jay, Big, Nas and Pac...everybody else is just up to personal opinion right?!

I’m cool wit’ that...

:ualreadyknow:

I think we should be able to add Snoop to that list and they'd be the only universally accepted

Yep cuz when they talk about cities that had hip hop artist come from like NYC, LA, Huston, Chicago, ATL, Oakland.

They just gonna skip over Philly.....:sayword:

T.I created a genre of music sir.

Yall gotta go back to the drawing board.

Did I say they wasn't gonna talk about TI?

You the one acting like they not gonna talk about Philly artists or if they do somehow they're not gonna talk about one of the biggest, most well respected ones to come from there.

That's why the series is dead until next year. Hopefully mfs learn how to be impartial.

Objectively, BT hasn't done anything legendary. He's never been the #1 nigga in the game. Never had a legendary battle. His biggest moment was his Hot97 freestyle....... shit Mysonne got nearly 10M off his freestyle, we might as well throw him in the legend category too.

man fuck all this bullshit... somebody present some info on the stamp/influence Black Thought had on hip hop please.

If ur telling the story of hip hop... where would black thought fit in?

Shouldn't be that hard to do for a legend no?

ATL has been running hiphop for the last what? Decade and a half? Philly isn't important enough that it has to be mentioned to tell the story of hiphop. ATL HAS to be mentioned. That's like saying "well that gotta bring up DC right? And you can't say DC without Wale so..... Wale = Legend" foh fam

Again, I think if you mention the Roots you also mention Black Thought.

Whether or not the Roots are apart of the story of hip hop as you see it tho', I dunno.

I'd mention them
