The problem is people that can't handle it. Some people will shoot somebody over a gram of crack, or hold up a convenient store to support their heroin habit and that's why it's illegal. But there are rich, wealthy people with unlimited resources that can manage doing drugs without committing crime (think of politicians, CEOs and Hollywood actors).

Basically the purpose of the DEA is to monitor who's selling what and if it's really what they say it is. They look for somebody that claims to have, "10 kilos of cocaine". They send an undercover agent or confidential informant to buy the coke to see if it's really cocaine or if it's some bullshit (i.e baking soda, rat poison, or pancake batter.) If it's the real thing they won't arrest him, but if it's not what it's supposed to be they'll make three buys off of him and then arrest him for three counts of "manufacturing a controlled substance".

The police (DEA/FBI) go after people that cut drugs into something else and sell it. Like if you start off with a kilo of cocaine and cut it into three bricks of cocaine cut with rat poison. That's who the DEA goes after.

Premise #2: People who are rich and make, say, $500k per year can handle a drug habit, whereas a high school dropout that lives in the ghetto might have a difficult time handling a cocaine/heroin habit.

Premise #3: The rich, high class, elite people that can handle a drug habit have enough money to ascertain that their drugs are pure. They're not buying their drugs from a gangbanger on the corner, their drug connections/drug dealers are more sophisticated than somebody in the hood with baggy jeans and a hoodie.

Basically I'm saying that rich people do drugs and it's no secret. The reason it's illegal is because poor people get addicted to drugs, but in many cases, they don't have the income to support their habit and subsequently commit crime. That's why drugs are illegal. Rich politicians have friends that do drugs and it doesn't affect their social circles in the same manner that it affects poor people in the ghetto.

If you lived in Hollywood you could be a drug dealer if your drugs were uncut, pure cocaine. But as soon as you start cutting your drugs with acetone or rat poison you'll get arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance.

If you grew coca in your back yard, assuming you live in a state that's even conducive to it, and refined that coca into pure yayo and got caught, you will catch a manufacturing charge.

If you got caught with the apparatus and precursor chemicals necessary to make meth, and actually made even a small amount, you will catch a manufacturing charge.

If you grew poppies, then turned around and refined them to opium and heroin, you will catch a manufacturing charge.

Manufacturing charges don't come from cutting, it comes from actually making the shit. These days it's mostly meth that it gets applied to 'cause the shit is so widespread muhfuckas even have backpack meth labs (https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2015/03/meth-labs-in-walmart-pretty-common.html).

You are wrong.

If you follow the code you can sell coke. As long as it is uncut nobody will bother you.

The DEA goes after the people that sell garbage. People that buy a kilo and cut it into three kilos of cocaine mixed with rat poison.

Rich people (i.e. politicians, CEOs, and Hollywood celebrities) are in a social circle where certain drugs are acceptable, as long as you don't cut it.

It's really that simple.


I've been getting coke from the same dealer since 2009. I've never had a problem.

Every time I hook somebody up with my dealer they cook it up and smoke crack, then they cut it to make up for what they smoked. They get arrested every time.

But my dealer never has a problem because she doesn't cut it. As far as I know she's been in business for 10+ years with no problems.
