Breaking News Shooting in Dayton Ohio, hours after El Paso, leaves up to 9 dead & 16 injured

Also, I'm leaning more toward the problem being how we deal with extremists than this gun policy. I made a thread about this a while back that i guess got ignored (Here), about how this country treats right wing extremist groups vs POC. They can be armed and openly talking about killing people, and they'll mostly just be treated as harmless trolls. But let them be brown or muslim and they all up on your ass for even joking & might just find some bs to charge you.

And i forget who said it, but i agree with them saying its silly to think mass shootings will magically stop if you ban AR's. The media make it seem like they have Rambo guns and are just standing there spraying on full auto. Like all of these shootings (except vegas) are in small crowded areas that you can do the same amount of damage with a hand gun.

Our gun laws 100% need to be reviewed and updated, but if you just gunna do a half ass job, why even bother. People talk this "enough is enough" bullshit but dont really put in the effort to look into whats being done. All a politician has to say is they banned something and all the protesters yell "we did it!" and leave, then you find out they banned some goofy shit, like grip style on the gun.

Also stop saying "ban military styled guns". Last time i checked, the military also has hand guns. We'd have to ban those too, if we're banning everything the military has.

To the bold, do you truly believe the average crazy white boy could shoot 37 people in under a minute with a handgun?

They choose these specific weapons for a reason. If a handgun could do the job they're seeking to do just as well, why use the bigger, heavier and harder to conceal weapon? Also the .223 is a nasty round.

To your problem with the use of military style guns. Nobody is going to war with the pistol as their primary weapon. These weapons are civilian versions of military weapons. Some of the time made by the same manufacturers.

@Farris2k1 i think you're right
I noticed it when he was spreading alt right propaganda about European countries that I've lived in and well connected in.That's how it starts.

Then he's always in different threads putting the victim coat on for white people.

He refuses to say where he's from.

No pic and generic racist name.

TBH, yea. Especially since they always go to crowded areas. A pistol or 2 with extendos can hit just as many people. I think most of them arnt the weapons experts we make them out to be and chose AR's because they want to pretend they're in COD.
But all of this is just speculation. Either of us can be right or neither of us.

I think you're overestimating the average person's ability to shoot a pistol accurately. 37 people shot in less than a minute is some big time shooting, if done with a handgun and you stated yourself that these aren't weapons experts.

I'm not acting like they did this all at a distance on some Tri Gun shit. I'm talking about walking into a crowded area, full of unarmed people, and you just randomly start emptying into a crowd. You could walk down mad people to shoot before police even get there.

The main reason they kill so many people though is because they can stand at a slight distance and shoot. Then in the panic continue to kill. If they were in a crowd or close I think people would try to stop him. I know if I'm close and I run I'm shot for sure. But if I'm at arm's length and I wasn't the first to get hit I have a better chance at survival if I try to take him down.

Yo, is this dude comparing deaths that come as a result of gang and drug wars to white boys randomly walking into schools and churches killing a bunch of innocent people?
7 people died at a barbecue at a park. Did he know all 7 or knew somebody or a few and decided to hit everybody with him. I don’t see how that is much different than dude killing his sister and then trying to run up the kills before he got captured

Its not about assault rifles, its about white supremacist and white extremists

It’s about BOTH.

You can’t kill ten people and injure a dozen more in 30 seconds ... wielding a knife.

We will always have bad people in this world.

While we are defeating dangerous ideologies, why don’t we minimize the carnage they can cause while saving thousands of lives every year.

It’s almost like it’s common sense

The reason people in both shooting threads are saying to just focus on white terrorism is due to the fact that you're more likely to get bit by a shark and struck by lightning at the same time than this country actually passing a law restricting access to certain guns.

The shit ain't happening.

This is false.

These shootings affect white people too and we are at a tipping point in our national discourse. It has never been in the national conversation like it is now.

We have had serious gun reform in Congress before it just didn’t pass both houses.

We are at a point where the NRA and the gun lobby is vulnerable.
