I'll call it white-washing. They replaced three characters with dark complexions with three lite-brites. You would figure with the hype surrounding Black Panther, even over a year ago, that they would have made the decision to do it right.

The problem with what you're saying is that all of that happened and we still ended up with glow in the dark representations of Afro Latinos and a Native American.
The universe was created by Marvel. The stories have a few decades of material and artwork as to what these characters should look like. The outlet, the comic book, has been around for nearly 100 years. The following is there as well; millions of people around the globe read these stories and have their favorite characters.
The movie was pitched and picked up and along the way we got lite-brites thrown in the mix. But hey, I ain't the only one not feelin this shit.

They are both Marvel properties, but two different studios. Black Panther and the main MCU are put out by Marvel Studios. This movie is put out by Fox. Marvel Studios has put a priority on being inclusive. Fox doesn't give a fuck. It doesn't matter though because Fox won't have the properties pretty soon.
