I think you're overestimating his bubble play from last year

Initially I agreed with your take but looking at his complete numbers for this season made me change my mind. Jamal Murray started off this season slow but he picked up his production big time and averaged career highs in damn near every category. He shot almost 48, 41, and 87 percent while averaging 21, 4, and almost 5 assists.

It wasn't like his bubble numbers but he was having a really good year scoring while being really (career best) efficient.
 
DJJ been out of the rotation and catching DNPs for over a month now

Covington is a good help defender but he's food in isolation and when defending on the perimeter
I’ve noticed a trend surrounding guys that are heavily into DFS betting and actual basketball being played

You see there was this guy on the IC named trillfate..
