Technically yes. When my phone screen goes off it stops playing, or when I go to use another app and youtube goes to the background it stops playing. My podcast app plays while in the background no matter what.

I had this for the longest until my sister hit me with the"Why are you still using this shit in 2020???" Needless to say a new phone was ordered without my knowledge. Apparently we old bruh lol
