This is really the issue that I have. Our people they don’t see more often than not, that any conversation regarding Eminem and rap music? It has a two sided element to it. Where one side is the side where the rap fans are speaking from, and the other side is where Eminem fans are speaking from.
Most Eminem fans are not rap fans, they are Eminem fans. They support him because he’s white and that’s it. Our people try to have a fair and honest conversation with those types, not knowing that those types like what you say because you’re making their points stronger by taking actual rap argumentation and validating what they’re saying by agreeing with them. They don’t know about the plethora of other rappers that have ever picked up a microphone. They don’t understand rap styles, and archtypes that other rappers have used similar to Eminem and they never even reached gold much less 10 times platinum for multiple albums. Hell, most rappers when they reach that many albums is based strictly off of shit other than what Eminem did. So our people need to really understand, that a lot of these responses are not wrong. It’s just that it doesn’t matter, because we’re supposed to practice self preservation amongst us as our people.

If he was black and sounded the same and rapped with the same cadence we would have never heard of that nigga.
Is he skilled? No doubt but he was ultimately just a gimmick that worked.
He gave white people that were casuals, fetishized blacks, or just straight disliked black people an entry point into conversations they had no business in.
Ask any white person who is the goat they will say Eminem with the quickness but will struggle to give you the next 4.
