I dunno if its been mentioned...but what are the parents of those kids sayin about him? And and how do those kids feel about him? B/c imo their opinions are the only ones who matter.

If the parents have no issue wit it, and see he's been a positive influence to their kids...then everyone's opinions outside doesn't matter. And if the kids enjoy him...then hey.

But like I said...I'm curious to know how they feel
1. Anytime you post anything on the Internet it's between you and everyone else full stop.

2. Do the parents and children's opinions matter? Yes. Are those the only opinions that matter? No. His employers opinion matters. Who his employers answer to matter.

3. I think it's wild to call the guy a pedo or say he's grooming. There are boundaries when it comes to the work place though. Even more so when you're around kids. There was a video earlier I guess that was in support of this teacher. It showed another teacher being a therapist, a mechanic, and a barber to his students. Hypothetically let's say he didn't thoroughly clean his clippers and spread hep c around to 3 or 4 boys in class. In that situation is it bygones be bygones or is it fine the parents sue the shit out of the school and teacher?

Ok...so has his employer reprimanded him or fired him? B/c if the parents support him...the kids enjoy him...his boss sees no violation...then this isn't about nothin.

B/c at the end of the day...it starts wit those parents b/c its THEIR kids. If anyone of them had an issue, then that's where his boss would step in. But if all parties support the brotha, and the positive effect he has on the kids...then I don't see the problem.

Now I will say this truly has exposed the...I dunno a PTSD like effect wit alot folks. Especially reading some of the comments in this thread. This country has dealt wit SOOOOO MANY cases of teachers actually violating students. To the point where a situation like this automatically gets the Red Flag status.

Lookin at the comments...unbraiding his hair has some of yall posting scenarios that doesn't even pertain to this story. And I get it. The school system in this country has failed protecting the kids in this country. As a result...its automatic paranoia when you read a story like this. Especially wit a male teacher. That I totally understand the hesitancy and raised eyebrows.

But sticking wit this situation...the brotha has the support from the parents...kids...and his employer. Plain & simple. And the way I see it...a simple gesture like that...could inspire one of his students to become a world renowned hair stylist. You never know. It's small things that could possibly light that fire w/n a child. That fire that puts them on their future career path.

A LOT of kids in this country look towards their teacher for the kind of support, they may not get at home. So I hope the brotha continues spreading a positive influence on his students. And I hope the parents and his employer continues supporting him, and other teachers like him.

My 2 cents.

The school ain't paying you to cut hair or be a mechanic. And people are lawyer happy and so anxious to put everything on social media. This is one of those things that he should've kept in the drafts

Alot of y'all's reasons given for it being inappropriate is due to y'all thinking something sexual/intimate is a possibility. Are dudes so nasty that you saw a teacher getting braids taken out by students and went to "Oh, they gon try to smash later?"

Yea, I think I'd feel safer with the bear over you 🥷🏾s too

EDIT: Oh, and you can also tell who went to a school with a cosmetology department or a shop class

So why do you think it’s not inappropriate?

Im thinking some of you wouldn't care if dude was ugly or it was a chick. Seems the biggest issue is yall think he's gonna try and fuck off strength.

In this specific case I'm not seeing much of an issue. 3 girls unbraiding a teachers hair isn't nefarious.

At the same time I don't see a valuable lesson in having students unbraid hair so go let ya mama, sister, etc do that next time.
