Dude in the video referred to those kids as his best friends though.
I don't know no muhfuckin teacher that I could have called my best friend or even friend.

They'd have looked at me crazily.

Different times I guess

Lol, well yeah, I am saying the shit is weird too because I don't know no man, especially a Black man that moves like this.

I'm used to the old nigga at church being in a young bitch face, damn near grabbing ass on the hug.

I'm not used to a young motherfucker having children unbraid his hair.

From what I've seen on those comments the parents love him and say he's been a great influence on their kids. And the kids feel the same way. That still doesn't mean that boundaries dont need to be there male or female

But why do there need to boundaries of touch?

Human beings require touch and interaction.

Lol, Us as Americans are awfully Puritanical, sexist and racist.

It would be different if he took the kids to his home undid his hair.

But in a public place, on a slow day, surrounded by other Black kids, getting his hair undone, isn't that suspicious or cause for alarm.

You have to be objective and protect your kids. This might be innocent, but you have to squash this behavior out of an abundance of caution. Dude shouldn’t be fired, but the behavior should be addressed.

And it might not even be mal intent on the teacher’s part, but the girls might crush on dude and this behavior could be misleading for them.

The bar for a teacher isn’t inappropriate behavior itself, but also the “appearance” of inappropriate behavior.

Imma say no, because it is a very difficult job to deal with some of these kids
And the best approach is often to befriend them.

Bro prolly should have established better boundaries because people always gonna assume the worst. It's kinda fucked up that dude may lose his job bcuz he actually connected with the students where as many of them there for just a check

This make the second time I had to double take because of that visual bug, thinking you just said some wild shit when it's really just your tagline bleeding in to the post.

This. I dunno why this is so hard to understand. As a teacher, you need to be above reproach. That means not having a bunch of little girls taking out his hair.

Homie shouldn’t get in trouble. But he should be made aware that this could easily be something viewed as problematic and the he should stop.

I mean the crush shit you can't really control. Kids gonna have a crush on whoever they want really. The control is in how the adult reacts to it. And that's where the "appearance" aspect comes in. Because something seemingly innocent can be misconstrued by a parent or kid who may one day feel neglected by their "favorite teacher". So it's best to avoid anything that could appear wild as much as you can.

I dunno if its been mentioned...but what are the parents of those kids sayin about him? And and how do those kids feel about him? B/c imo their opinions are the only ones who matter.

If the parents have no issue wit it, and see he's been a positive influence to their kids...then everyone's opinions outside doesn't matter. And if the kids enjoy him...then hey.

But like I said...I'm curious to know how they feel

He said all the parents follow him on socials

This is so nuanced. It comes of as innocent, and it more than likely is. The problem is in this day and age, anything past a hug from a teacher to a student gets put on that slippery slope.

That’s why I only give out daps and pounds to my students. Especially those that are younger than HS level. I don’t want NO interpretations of any physical contact with kids.

Back no less than 15 years ago, I could play fight with a child with no one suspecting anything. Now, even slap boxing a kid might get funny looks.

I wouldn’t trip at this, but everyone’s parents ain’t the same. I would advise homie to fall back just to avoid the implications, but this is nothing to get reported or reprimanded over.
