Your Thoughts On "DJ Battles" With Laptops Instead Of Turntables

I was surfing on Youtube and I came across some DJ battles. Some from the 90s and some newer ones.


If you notice, this DJ isn't even picking up the record and replacing it with a new one. He's pressing buttons, but he's not doing anything to the actual record, which defeats the purpose of a DJ battle imo. Anybody can press buttons on a laptop, but it's a challenge to pick up a vinyl record, place it on the turntable and mix it on beat.

Those DJ Miz, DJ Scratch, and DJ Alladdin dayz are over and I miss it very much. They showed some of those battles on local community cable channels
