You Can Only Watch One Year of 90s Movies

I'm choosing 91. 90 & 98 were strong considerations. Edward Scissorhands is the only reason I didn't pick 90 over 91.

I've been saying that for years now. Was watching Jason's Lyric this morning before work, and was like damn what happened to black cinema.

Also what happened to the live action kids movie as well.

Too much copy cat shit to make money instead telling a good ass story with good acting to make people enjoy what they're watching and make good money.

Think about over the last 10-15 how many flop ass black "Fatal Attraction" movies we've gotten.

Tyler Perry broke ex-con man trying redeem himself and gets with the single mother or abused wife who leaves her husband for him.

Wack ass drug kingpin movies like Brooklyn's Finest.

Can't forget all the black slave/ Jim Crow movies

Folks have lost creativity chasing Hollywood formulas for what sales to the majority but fail to realize that we are only 13% of the population so margin for error is small if we as black people don't support a black movie.

Majority of black people loved the movie "The Harder They Fall" different story than the norm, good ass story and good ass acting = MAJOR SUCCESS

96' by far.

Never seen Matilda

The rest tho...straight PIFF
