I noticed that there ain’t no threads about emulation, emulators or roms or anything like that. I recently modded my 3DS and that re-introduced me to the world of roms and emulation for like the 3rd time in my life. Each time that I’ve gotten back into emulation, the technological advances and homebrew scenes have gotten better. These days, emulation is more accessible than ever with shit like Delta for mobile and the the crazy amount of relatively cheap handheld devices you can get that can run pretty much everything up until the ps 1 era of gaming.

I’m going to post reviews of the many handheld emulators that’s out in the wild today.

First off, I’m gonna start with the 3DS since that’s what got me back into this shit.

Ran bootlegs on the original PS1.. Original Xbox, Dreamcast, Gamecube.. Wii, Gameboy Advance, 3DS.. I think the only one I couldnt jailbreak was the PSP

I’ve used Delta before but my issue with emulators are is it sounds great in theory but in reality it’s never going to keep my attention playing old games like this

I’ve mirrored it to my TV and used a switch controller but idk eventually the novelty wears off

My coworker ordered one of those Miyoo joints from Ali Express. I didn't know you could get quality shit from there. Then again, we're all technically buying from Ali Express all the time.

But yeah, It had like 1k games, of course most were trash throwaways, but it had all the classics. Not sure if they were preloaded or not, though.

Playing emulators on a tv using a controller ain’t it either. Handheld consoles are the way to go with retro gaming because older games are way better for pick and go type shit….especially with most emulators having save states. If you gonna play older games on a tv, you minus well play a next generation console game, imo.

Yeah I get that maybe I would need to buy a dedicated emulator for mobile to stay engrossed

And that’s the thing. A lot of these devices won’t break your pockets if you wanted to try out a couple different ones. Plenty can be had for less than $100.

My brother got a jailbroken psp like a couple months after the PSP came out. It was pretty dope. I ran Chains of Olympus right off the memory stick lol

I think I got a seconhand PSP towards the end of its run so the firmware was already patched and I couldnt find a way to roll it back in order to jailbreak it. Ended up giving it away to my nephew once I couldnt run bootlegs on that shit lol

Hell yeah. My homie had one for PlayStation. I gave him my memory card so he could make save for resident evil 2 that had mad cheats like infinite rocket launcher and Gatling gun. What a fuckin time.
