But summary of this episode
People chilling on Bourbon outside this bar.
Story goes a dude (brandon) got mad at another dude( let's call him Larry. I cant remember his name) for looking at his girl (Aja).
Larry comes outside, Brandon maces him, and the two get into a fight. Larry's friend comes out to break the fight up. Didn't swing or anything. He literally was the peacemaker.
An hour passes by, Brandon comes back and starts shooting at Larry and his friend. Larry's friend dies at the scene. Larry is taken to the hospital.
Now, for those of you who've never been on Bourbon, there are cameras EVERYWHERE. LITERALLY. Every building/business has them especially businesses on the corners.
So anyway, Aja is seen on tape on two different cameras. One one, she walks right past the dead victim and is on her phone, presumably calling her bf. Didnt even stop to look at the dude and he was turned over and you could see the holes in his body.
So here are my questions/scenarios:
The surviving victim knew Aja and gave her name to the police which is how they were able to get her.
Police go to her mom's house to see if she's there. They ask her if she knew Aja's bf. The mom says "his name is Brandon". They ask do you know his last name, she says no.
-I cant recall the age Aja is. She's old enough to drink but she still live at home fwiw or at least that was her last known address, but how is it you dont know shit about who your child is dating? You dont even know the last name? And this wasnt a case of Aja's mother trying to protect the dude b/c why even give them the name if you just gonna act like you dont know his last name? I use the term child loosely, but NOLA one of them places that when you say you met someone, IMMEDIATELY your parents ask what the last name is just to make sure ya'll not related
-They catch up with Aja and ofc, she try to play dumb and act like she dont know who Brandon is and told detectives that the guy told her his name was Ashton. What would you do if your daughter was trying to protect her bf? Ofc this assumes you know she lied to the police so just go with the flow. Since they dont have anything to hold her on, they let her go.
-Larry's friend. The good guy just trying to break up a fight and lost his life for it. What do you think ya'll would've done in that situation?
Conclusion of case:
Brandon was caught in Florida 5 months later by the US Marshals. He was charged with first degree and was awaiting sentencing at the time of the airing of the episode.
Aja admitted to covering for him and I think was charged with 2nd degree and obstruction or some shit.
