Will Smith On Why He Turned Down The Matrix

Will been picking bad roles mostly since then. Only like 3-5 good movies sonce then. I Am Robot, Persuit of Happiness, BB2. Never watched focus. I am Legend was extremely average.

He been explaining this for like 20 years now

Starting to push Matrix in the overrated category w/ folks acting like it the greatest shit ever and how can you turn it down.

Will makes movies that mesh well with his religious beliefs.

Every sci fi movie he's made since joining Scientology has been in the same vein as Battlefield Earth.

Will can't play a messiah. He can play a lone survivor tho...

Will can never make a Book of Eli..

He dont need to explain turning down the Matrix.

He needed to explain making Wild Wild West. Im guessing the money was crazy... Plus salma

Think he was getting like 20-30 mil a film around that time.

The Matrix only cost 60 mil to make (crazy), that's 1/3 close to half what Will was making alone.

Will needs to play a villain.....not an anti-hero but a villain.......it would be dope for him to play a role like that but I doubt he would do it
