Curren$y, while not nearly as successful as Kendrick, did put out consistent fire in 2015. Completed the Saturday Night Car Tunes series, Pilot Talk 3, Cathedral Music. I thought this was his best year.

Drake by far

Drake dropped IYRTITL out of nowhere which went Multi platinum, it was the second project after FHD to have every song on the album chart. He had the beef with Meek Mill and he humiliated him. He also conquered the Forbes list as well. And on top of that dropped a collab album with Future which also went platinum. Back To Back got nominated for a fuckin Grammy. For the new generation, arguably that was their first major beef between 2 major artists that defined a moment for them.

I know a lot of niggas will front like they weren't rooting for him when he and Meek were going through it but Drake cooked him. We later saw 50 Cent and Game get into it with Meek and even The Undertaker shitted on him.

all this

Drake was the biggest thing in the world.

That year is what made him into a superstar and the biggest rapper in the world.

Him killing meek and bringing out Will smith and kevin hart who are well known philly legends.

Also even Charlemagne dickriding him after 6 years of slandering drake publically.

mfs cannot rewrite history even if they hate drake.

That was not Drake's year in hip hop. That was Drake's year in music period.

Burger king and McDonalds were even siding with Drake.

U can make strong arguments for Drake and Kendrick, but Future had the charts and the streets. Dropped 3 fire mixtapes, a classic album, then made a collab album with Drake, which was Drake hopping on Future's wave and sound, not the other way around.

2015 was Future's year.

He didn't run the year, but Big Sean's Dark Sky Paradise was everywhere for a bit. He definitely made some waves.

That year belonged to the West, though. Andre and Kenny
