I hate to even say it, but this is the correct answer. "Too Legit To Quit" dropped in late 91 and was still ruling the airwaves. Dude went triple plat at a time when artists struggled to go gold.

I was one of the few kids that didn’t like Kriss Kross at the time. All the other kids loved that trash shit. I appreciate their more mature sounding music later on.

It’s Dre. Him and Snoop were all over the place by the end of the year. Helped put the West at the top of the rap food chain at that point. I can remember being little & seeing them videos for the Chronic & thinking “I wanna go to that cookout”. Funny that this came up cuz I’m finishing up Shit Done Changed 92 right now.
