to me, good music is every where. i dont have a problem finding good music in the sea of releases that come out every week.

but on the other side of that is that the more music that comes out, the harder it is to be impressed by rap albums.

the content in rap music seems to fall somewhere between repetitive and uninspired.

the last album that truly impressed me was...

Lupe Fiasco's Drogas WAVE.

what about yall?

Is it because you only listen to mainsteam artists (commerical rap) or do you even find yourself in the rap dungeon (underground) looking for stuff..because if you leave your impressions soley on commercial music you'll never truley find music that will WOW you

Jericho Jackson was a fucking beautiful project

hadnt heard any of these guys work prior to this but i think @Mooney put me on...this shit was flames and I still go back to it from time to time

from the beats to the lyrical content, there is not a skip on this project

Beloved : Styles P & Dave East

211727

Completely caught me off guard. Easily my favorite album of 2018. Made me a big fan of Dave East where I honestly couldn't say that before this album. And sparked my argument for Styles P for artist of 2018. He dropped two other dope albums that year. both were amazing in their own regard. but Beloved was better IMO

If we're talking the very last RAP album to impress me... Nowadays my musical playlists encompass everything but hiphop in the 90s and early noughties catch my fancy now....very few modern artists move me...must be the age

Pusha T - DAYTONA
