I always wished I could've learned how to work on cars

I'm not talking about like changing tires and oil. I know how to do lil maintenance stuff like that, but im talking about full on, fix up a car, take parts (doors, etc...) from other cars to put on another car, sand down cars to the frame, prime, then paint, etc..

I wouldnt even do it to try and fix up cars to sell them per se, but to just have like an extra vehicle or two to keep from using my main vehicle or to help someone who had a teen about to drive, give them a cheap alternative to buying a brand new car.

i wish i had taken up wrestling and boxing at like 12-13

i ain't start wrestling till 16, and i ain't get int he gym till 25

i feel like had i gotten into that shit at a younger age, i could have really done something with it

If I had just learned how to manage money and credit sooner....way sooner....man smh

I wish I had got into tech as well....nothing wrong with my position now but I'd be a lot more valuable doing what I do
these too, i'm still horrible with money/credit

my solution to everything is work more hours....smh....

and i definitely should have went to college for IT...they were saying it was the future, but i'm hard headed

ya'll i be seeing these hispanic dudes on the road all the time just towing old cars

i can only assume what they are gonna use them for, but still...just knowing you have this as a skill to use.

man it pisses me off when I think of how much money I blew when I didnt have any real bills or kids.....could very well have started a business by 24 and had my money working for me......I'll get there, just a lil late

when I pulled up at Lincoln Tech in Arlington, I went in with IT on my mind...thats what I wanted to do.....the IT program was no longer available and the auto tech program sounded cool smh....the more I think about it that Stephen A Smith lookin nigga was tryna sell me on that shit the whole time....its all he wanted to talk about...pretty sure he got a bonus or reward for new applicants

unless you gettin down and dirty every day, it aint what it looks like....not as a side hustle

you just end up with a yard fulla shit you aint got time to fuck with lol

all your fam and friends that hear you know cars will bug the shit outta you every time a headlight flickers, but wont be talking about paying

it would be cool to know a specialty tho....like just wiring or body work

indeed, but make no mistake about it, i wouldnt be outchea trying to be a shade tree mechanic lol

I would just like to be able to take some shit from one car, put it on another and marvel in my creation

ah man you can do that in your spare time.....the "knowledge" part of it is just from experience

first time for everything and then there's youtube

you'll have to stop here and there to get a specific tool you wont have on deck, but nothing about it is brain surgery

especially if you're talking about body work....like how them ese's be having Nissan Expeditions with Tahoe grilles and shit?

they just taking time and experimenting.....trust me that shit didnt fit the first time lol

they shaved this and bent that until it worked

On a money level, wish I started doing what I do now before I hit 25 and had mad debt. Im really good at where I am now but I could have got here sooner.

Something I still havent learned is how to ask for and accept help. For me everything has to be done my way cause I always feel like I always know a better way. Its related to what I said first cause I could have got where I got to at 25 at 22 and with much less heart ache if I followed directions. But I had to do it my way and I did, it just took longer.

On a more personal level, wish I allowed myself to feel when I was younger. I dont remember feeling any emotions till a few years ago. I didnt start telling my mom and my sister and little cousins and shit that I loved them till I was like 27. It was that bad. Now I end all convos by telling them I love them. I legit had all good and bad emotions locked up almost all my life. Its much better now but I could be better and im working on that.

To not solve problems with violence past a certain age

To be able to walk away from stuff

To not view decisions in relation to the level of honor/ prestige they would bring to or in keeping in the traditions of my neighborhood

Wish i had done boxing. When i was young my grandpa always wanted me to go take boxing lessons (real young, like 8 or 9) and i was always too shy to do something like that. Kinda want to do it now, but my shoulder is so bad i dunno if i could do it.

Wish i learned how to work on cars. never had anyone to teach me though.

Wish i had learned more about computers, again had no one to teach me though.

Wish i had gone to college right after highschool so I could have a career i'd enjoy right now.

Wish i had learned to budget and handle my money better instead of mom repeatedly telling me "you need to learn how to handle your money better!"

I know everyone says this shit, but have you tried physio? My neck is messed up bad and it has basically weakened a whole half of my body. Physio has helped a lot though. Got me back in the gym well enough to do most the things I used to do

Yea but that chick look like she do much worst than that

Huuuuuge cosign..

Especially with YouTube today. They pretty much walk you through everything. Then you have stores like O'Reillys where you can rent the tools you're gonna need. As with anything the more you do it the faster/better you get.

I wish I could've learned/known how to spot crazy chicks from the jump or at least the lil signs that stick like a mf now. Coulda saved a lots time lol.

Never heard of Physio. Are you meaning itll help with my shoulder or something? I've been in the gym for a little over a year now and was able to get it stronger, but still if i move it a certain way it will dislocate so I just gotta be careful with it. I had surgery on it when I was 19, but dislocated it several times since then. I'll try checking out that Physio you speak of though.
