The W wasn't as good as the 1st two, but it had joints
I remember reading an interview I think with RZA before the release of The W, where he was saying instead of recording with everybody at the same time (like in the beginning), it would be two or three showing up. Some would stop by and then leave or just send RZA their verses to a song after recording it from wherever they were.I feel like if you took the best songs from the W and Iron Flag, you'd get an album on par with the first two.
I'm going with a controversial pick though: 8 Diagrams. It was a departure from the sound we were used to hearing from them, but there isn't really a bad track on that album (except for maybe Tar Pit) IMO. I feel like people (including some members of the Wu) let their desire for the older material keep them from appreciating it.
