I think this is a tired argument
Some will say it is, some will say it ain’t

Some will say the leaks were better
Carter 4 and 5 could use some discussion every once in awhile

It's not a classic
The Carter 3 was the culmination of 2 1/2 years of hype and buzz. The album was solid and to use a baseball phrase it was a double but it wasn’t the home run people expected it to be.

Wayne is one of the rappers that has grown on me over the years...
In the late, late, late 90s and really early 00's I kinda liked the early 'Hot Boys' stuff...
Then in the mid 00's when he became huge and changed his style I really disliked his music, like the mumbling, random lyrics that he apparently freestyled (certainly sounded like it too) etc
Then the other week my iPod was shuffling his Carter albums and found myself fckn with quite few tunes I didnt previously...
I think its partly down to there being so little decent mainstream rap out so his sh!t is just aging better...

Carter 3 had "Classic" hype. But Carter II, yea. That's a classic.Dat nigha graduated from Mannie fresh beats and Gillies flow.
First, these niggas are goofy
Second, C3 is a glorified mixtape. Great project but I'm big on album sequencing and that project had no structure to it. It sounds like a bunch of songs that didn't get leaked.
