Modern history can be divided into two time frames: before 9/11 and after 9/11. This five-part docuseries from director Brian Knappenberger is a cohesive chronicle of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the U.S., offering illuminating perspectives and personal stories of how the catastrophic events of that day changed the course of the nation. From the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 to the country’s breathtaking collapse back into the hands of the Taliban just weeks before the twentieth anniversary of the attacks, history continues to be made.

Hell yeah, im here for this shit. I was like 12 when all this shit went down but I didnt fully understand a ton of events. Will be dope to get a good breakdown of everything

I was a freshman in college. I can vividly remember being in my theater arts class and the teacher, a black woman from Philly, walked class late, said class is cancelled and walked back out. We was all confused, but was like 'Fuck it! Cool! We out!'. I went back to the dorm and say niggas crowded around the tv in the lobby. I see one of my homies and I'm like 'Fuck is going on?'. Before he could even answer, the tv flashed a video of the 2nd plane hitting the tower.

I deadass thought the shit was a movie.

I was in 5th grade so I remember but the details are pretty vague for me. Watching this doc was horrifying….seeing ppl jump from the towers will never leave my mind. The personal stories and videos had me crying. And I forgot about the attack on the pentagon 🥺. A lot of ppl kept saying the US never recovered and I truly believe that.

The breakdown of the taliban/Afghanistan/Bin Laden was very insightful and easily digestible for the average viewer. Overall, I recommend this doc as a must see.
