Everything on that album was recorded before he signed to Death Row, before he went to jail when he was still on Interscope.
I'm pretty sure the songs on that album were recorded before Interscope bought Death Row.

Classic Pac. It was recorded before he got on Death Row. It was suppose to be for a Thug Style (I think that was the name) album he scrapped because Interscope (allegedly) let Dr. Dre and Snoop hear the album and they borrowed from that for Doggystyle.
