Aight

Let's get a couple things out the way. I grew up on controllers. I didn't build a gaming PC until I was like 30.

Trying to use kb/m just never felt natural. My wrist would constantly hurt, I couldn't get comfortable with my mouse arm, and my reaction time just stinks so I would just go back to controller each time I tried playing with kb/m.

Been watching some videos on how to get better and they all pretty much say it takes time and practice.

After watching several product videos about keyboards and mice for beginners to pc gaming, I decided to buy some highly rated reasonably priced items to get me started. I'm not trying to play competitively so I'm ok with not having high end equipment

I'll post links to the stuff I've bought so far later.

One of the videos mentioned an app on steam that helps train you to be a better fps kb/m player so I d/l that this morning. Gonna try and mess with it this evening when I put the lil one to bed.

Guess I'll finally get out my shell and post some gameplay clips knowing I'm pretty bad lol

Stay tuned

Got any advice?

Get an extended mousepad. those very large ones.

When using the mouse aim left to right, not up/down or diagonal. It should be a smooth motion. Then you can transition to a flick technique

Adjust sensitivity of your mouse to make sure you can move your mouse across the screen with ease. I can move my mouse around with slight movement. My wrist never lifts from my desk. I use a logitech G Pro X superlight 2 and i used programs to set my mouse dpi to get it perfect for me.

if your wrist are hurting its your posture. adjust your mouse and keyboard positions. I also use a wrist rest from Kensington for my keyboard that helps.

You probably wasn’t using a good enough mouse

You don’t look like the guy to shell out like $100+ for one
Well this is also probably true

But the mouse space has changed so much that you really don't need to shell out that kinda money these days, especially if are pretty casual in your gaming.

I'm not trying to be on leaderboards or anything but I'm also trying not to be the last dude at the bottom of my team either

I really don't care for kd ratio but still...

Oh I didn't know about dpi, rolling? and some other shit

I just got something that was cheap

But while I did still get something on the budget tier, I know what now to look for when researching mice

I'm really excited. Everything is overnight shipping so I will have my new kb and mouse tomorrow

Ok ok ok

Tried my first pvp match and I didn't suck lol

I was a modest 3k 3d cause I jumped in late but I was able to aim and fire pretty good at human targets

I think I'ma just wait until my new equipment comes cause I don't wanna get used to my current stuff

Should be here this afternoon
