The Rise & Fall of Blockbuster

Renting movies and getting takeout use to be a Friday night tradition for the fam. Mom and pops picked their movies and I got to select one for myself. Good times.

Dad would always argue he ain't have no money. We finally go get our movies and ge got 100s all in his wallet lol

Crazy they wanted to open a Blockbuster amusement park. Universal already has the movie theme park, so that would’ve been a huge bust for them... and they passed up on buying Netflix.. rofl wow

I was more so a Hollywood video person but still miss those days
Yeah I told the homies when I was 14 ima snatch that rental store job soon as I turned 18 and ended up a Hollywood Videos, some of the best times. Horny milfs, laid back talking about movies all day, free rentals 2 days before the movie drops for employees, couldnt beat it for a teenager.

Hollywood was the first to close down business so I tried jumping ship to blockbuster they were all happy faces until I said I worked for Hollywood Videos, then it was like they were rushing me out and didnt get a call back. Lol

Blockbuster was just stuck in the old ways and didn't adapt, no reason they should have let Netflix bully them out the game
And Redbox. For a second they had those rental kiosks in my city but they didn’t last long. Then Netflix came and crushed the building’s
