The official ATP/WTA thread 🎾

Rafael Nadal 's potential second-round showdown with Nick Kyrgios is MUST TV. Nadal hates Nick and Nick loves to get under Nadal's skin. Could end up being match of the tournament or turn into a freakshow. All I know this is going to be a crazy match in many different ways.

Monfils won't reach the 4th round. He's not comfortable at all on grass. Felix or Grigor should get to the 4th round and face Djokovic. I can see Thiem lose in the first round against Sam Querrey. Tsonga to knock out Shapovalov in the 2nd round. Cilic better watch out, Mannarino in the first round can be tricky.

Federer got a very good draw. First threat will come in the QF. I think Federer will reach the final this year. Should be interesting who he'll get in the semifinal though because I think that part of the draw is wide open.

Zverev is done if he doesn't find his way for the us open his career may be gasquet levels all the talent

Tsitsipas game is suited to grass I'm surprised he lost

‘It was kind of a typical Grand Slam match for me,’ Zverev said. ‘ I started off well, then one or two things don’t go my way, and everything kind of a little bit falls apart.

‘Yeah, I’m not very high on confidence right now. When I get to the important moments, I had, what, five, six breakpoints in the fourth set alone, can’t take any of those. I had a Love-40, a 15-40. I’m down one breakpoint myself and he takes it immediately, where I miss an easy volley. ‘So, yeah. I didn’t lose this match on tennis. It’s just, yeah, my confidence is below zero right now. ‘I could have won this match. I had enough chances. I had enough opportunities. It’s not about that. Yeah, I have to win tennis matches outside Grand Slams to play well at the Grand Slams. I haven’t done it enough in the last few months, so… I have to change that.’

Stefanos WTF??? I expected a lot more. I can't believe he lost in the first round against.....Fabbiano of all people. Fabbiano is a solid player who loves clay. How the hell did Stefanos lose??? He was one of the dark horses this year, Jesus!!!!

When Vesely is on he's a tough player to beat. He's better than his ranking and has a big serve and a powerful game. It's not a huge surprise he knocked out Zverev. I do like that Zverev is honest. He has no problem to admit that he has big problems with his confidence at the moment. He'll bounce back.
