Because it can possibly cut out all the illegal bets that's in the billions. If Vegas can get even half of that, 1% ain't gonna put them out of business. Especially if they can get the NFL on board too.

Yeah but if the NBA and NFL start championing for legal sports betting, particularly in the states w/ teams, then that 1% might be worth it with all that new money that can potentially come in.
