The Last Showgirl, a poignant film of resilience, rhinestones and feathers, stars Pamela Anderson as Shelly, a glamorous showgirl who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run.

It was an ok story. I think the thing that bugged me the most was the camera. It was either really low budget or they intended to use old style camera angles. There was nudity but not the main cast. You actually really didn't even see the performance until the end. A lot was backstage discussing the end of the showgirl lifestyle

Shelly (Pam Anderson) was a woman that had a passion for what she did and had no regrets. She tried to have a relationship with her daughter while and her daughter was going through resentment over her mom choosing her career over her. Seemed like since the college daughter was being told not to pursue her dreams that she felt her mom could understand

Story was pretty "real"

I've never taken Pamela Anderson seriously as an actor, just thought she was a pretty face. But I think this might be her best work ever. She had to be extremely vulnerable in her role.

I think this movie can be relatable to a generation that is finding themselves replaced by a younger workforce. Having your passion extinguished in an instant. Shelley views what she does as art but the younger generation sees it as a paycheck. She's the last of a dying breed. And to see how thats caused her to have a strained relationship with her daughter who doesn't even call her mom. Clearly, Pamela's character is an extremely flawed person.

I think Bautista has proven to me over his career he's the best of the wrestlers who have gone to Hollywood. Only issues I have is how this was shot and the overabundance of montages of Pamela just walking around Vegas.

I don't even know whether she imagined the end with her daughter appearing at the final show. There seemed to be a crowd even though they were saying less and less people were coming to see this show

Oh yea, I liked Jamie Lee Curtis in this and Brenda Song is beautiful

⭐⭐⭐½
