The Drake Effect: Would you compromise who you are ?

Simple question.

Thing is alot of people claim that they wouldnt....when they wont admit or even realize they already did it.

While i know most wont do blackface....but if your family is on its last loaf of bread, kids hungry, no more unemployment and wifey or hubby getting aggy....

would you sell your soul to get on your feet?

im not talking making a career out of it....Im talking one time thing.

Would you do it to get to the next level in your career??

would you do it to win the heart of the person you love?

im curious who will be honest.

Most people will never be put into a position to "sell their soul", aka compromise their personal integrity to get ahead in life.

Those opportunities are scarce because 1. Most people won't come down to their last loaf of bread 2. Many people aren't capable of turning an opportunity like that into a successul endeavor.

Whenever I hear people say "I won't sell my soul to the devil", I ask 'what makes you think the devil even wants your soul?" The people who say that tinfoil hat shit are usually mediocre middle of the pack types. If I'm the devil, I would be looking for someone exceptional, not Joe Blow the cashier at Piggly Wiggly.

as if selling your soul can only be done in certain areas in life.

and while you may think someone is too low....it may be something that the person has that may be needed to attract others while they are low and gain a following while they grow.

the devil can use anyone as a vessel,

It doesn't matter what I think.

My point was, for example, local MC Suchandsuch hopping on a blog saying Jay Z is only successful because he sold out or sold his soul, as if ANYBODY could have done what Jay Z did if they just sold their soul.

That's not how the world works. Yes, every one is good at something but that doesn't mean anyone can do anything as long as they "sell out". You can't sell out if nobody's buying the shut you're selling.

you can effect and infect people directly and indirectly.

while trying to influence the leader of an army might not be your thing....but you may be good at influencing the person who can get to the leader of that army is just as good.

Oh Jesus fuckin Christ lol stop it.

Some people suck. Besides the fact that there is no devil or 'soul transaction', compromising your integrity is something anybody can do.

Give me 100 mil tax free, I'd dance with tomi luran, with megan Kelly on the piano, on fox news, while wearing a h&m shirt.

Then speak to Glen Beck about the experience the next day

You kind of asked 2 different questions.

If im all on my own and starving would I sell out? Nah, im used to hardship.

If I got kids and a fam to provide for and they starving? Shit every option is on the table to make sure the kids dont get used to the hardship. Not saying id sell out but it would be a consideration and not saying I wont sell out either.

Shit reminds me of a GZA bar.

"I see brothers quote math plus degrees
Lip professing ass niggas can't feed they own seeds"

S/o to P-Dub! The one that use to be down the road from my house made the best dinners. It was this one black lady who folks could tell if she cooked food, or one of the other ladies (white folks) cooked them, based off the red rice.

If it didn't look right, they knew she didn't make it. Hell one lady even asked "Who made this?"...the white lady said she made it...woman just shook her head and said "Red rice isn't suppose to look like that...then "That's ok." and walked off. Lol!!

If it was done by the black lady (couldn't remember her name), then it would actually look like rice, and not mush.
