I take back what I said in the other thread, now that I think about it the show did fall off after Tara died.
The best season was the one with Damon Pope. When he burned Tig's daughter alive I knew this mf'er was about to bring those red necks to their knees

he’s British? Funny you say that, I watched “the gentleman” the other night. A British film and I thought this Americans rendition of an English accent is shit.
On topic: thought was a great series when I originally watched it last season or two was ass. Ending was possible the worst ending from such a good run of seasons.
I remember going to pick up the last season on dvd hype, shit was a directors cut commentary type dvd. Left me heated, last time I ever purchased a dvd.

The show fell off after it drifted too far away from it's original theme.
It was originally based on Hamlet.
Once Jax was no longer conflicted about the direction of the club and embraced everything it stood for..........it didn't seem as interesting.
Also, the show wasn't the same after Clay got killed either.
Couldn't stand him, but the constant underlying conflict between him and Jax was a crucial part of the show.
Once Clay was gone, there was nothing similar to replace that dynamic.
I started watching the 1st season again sporadically...........simply because I didn't start watching the show when it originally aired until more than halfway through the first season.
Can't see myself re-watching the entire series multiple times like The Wire though.
