There's a jazz album by Rashaan Roland Kirk that came out in 1976. By that point Bebop had kinda died out and people were doing fusion Jazz, Disco, Funk, Rock but Bebop was pretty much on its last leg.
So when I copped this album circa 1995 I liked it because it was unlike anything I'd ever heard. And I liked the title. So I started calling myself "The 5,000LB Man". I used to make beats and DJ but the MCs I worked with felt that The 5,000LB Man was too difficult to say, so they called me 5 Grand.
