Short LP’s……vs Longer LP’s

dodge

Brooklyn Bred
I just have this thing where I believe those short 8-9 track LP’s encapsulates more magic and effort than a longer album (13 tracks or more)

It could be due to the lack of resources back in the day that made albums shorter…but I definitely believe it caused musicians to work harder and to make every song count since money and space was limited….no filler shit

I think it depends on the project. Magic had just enough but soul sold separately had joint after joint and was 6 or more songs longer. Both were dope.

All my albums have 22 tracks.

22 represents Victory because V is the 22nd letter.

However, in the streaming era, people don't buy the album, they just stream the songs they like.

22 also represents something that’s bound to fail

Ever heard the term “catch 22”?

You have to have an extremely incredible ear for music and producing to make an album longer than 14 songs with ZERO skips
