SAINTS ROW MOVIE IN DEVELOPMENT

F. Gary Gray, director of The Fate of the Furious, is set to direct a film adaptation of the Saints Row video games.

As reported by Deadline, development is still in the early stages, but Greg Russo is attached to write the screenplay. Russo is currently scripting the Mortal Kombat movie reboot for Warner Bros., as well as the Resident Evil movie reboot.

So far there’s no story details, but the films will presumably take plenty of inspiration from the games, which follow the exploits of the Third Street Saints gang in the fictional cities of Stilwater and Steelport. The series’ debut on Xbox 360 was somewhat serious, but the sequels increased the amount of comedy and outlandish action involved. As such, the director of a Fast and Furious film seems the ideal fit.

Gray’s current project is Men In Black: International, which releases June 14, and he previously directed Straight Outta Compton

I played 2 and 3 .2 felt generic but it was still dope it element like creating your own character etc and tthe melee combat was good and you can use people as human shields also the store robbery mechanics was better than gta you can approach it differently by going through the back door and getting the drop on the clerk or you could make them go to the back and open the safe. Side missions also ect. Basically they took what gta san andreas did a bit further.
A lot of people didn't like saints row 3 but I may be one of the few that enjoyed it. It was the first one I played. I liked it because it didn't take itself too seriously was humorous and although it was an open world sandbox game it felt like I was playing an arcade coin-op game. Then there was the unforgettable over the top missions like parachuting into a penthouse party shootout while kanye west "power" is playing in the backround Plus nbith games had porn stars like Tera Patrick and sasha gray. If they are going on with this flick then I say they cast Allen Payne or michael b Jordan as pierce

As a superfan of the series, I think this is a very bad idea.

I just dont see the point of making a R- Rated version of Ready Player One.

I liked the first one. It got goofier tho but 2 was cool. 3 and beyond nope.

Saints row 4 and 5 is where I draw the line thise two are defi ite no-nos . Saints row 3 was just plain fun to me especially the professor genki gamebshow.
The bad thing about it was all of thise dlcs which I regrettably bought that had dumb outfits and weird weapons like that mind control squid gun. While we on the subject of a saints row movie weren't they saying another game is in the works that is taking it back to the original formula? What happened to that?

Since when did they have a 5th game?
