From producer LeBron James and the co-creator of Reservation Dogs, comes the story of the Chuska Warriors - a high school basketball team rich in Native American heritage. After losing their star player, the team must come together like never before to keep their state championship dreams alive.

Solid sports film that touches on a couple of things that unfortunately plague Native American communities across America: suicide and alcoholism. It's things that you've seen before in other sports movies: team coming together to make a run so it stops me from labeling it a great film. Crazy thing is this is the first film for a lot of the cast.

Funniest line - "These crackas know Navajo?"

Was pretty cookie cutter to me.

Made for TV vibes in parts.

Still great to see this crack the Netflix Top 10 hopefully more opportunities for Sterlin Harjo & friends down the line.

Highlight for me was Krista from Lotaburger. She fine as hell.

There is a different Native film on Netflix based in the Navajo nation called Frybread Face & Me. It came out last year and is actually a better film imo with a more unique story.

Check it if ur interested.

There is also a documentary on Netflix called Basketball or Nothing based on a Navajo high-school team. Similar story. Not sure if its based on the doc or not but def seems inspired by.
