I just looked it up, ok, that shit came out December 7th 1997. It came out with three weeks left in the year, my bad.
My point still stands that this album didn't hit and no one knew of it till a year later when he was on a major and getting push. Only the extreme underground knew of him in December 1997. If you asked ten ppl at any random hip hop concert i in 1997 if they heard of Eminem, 10 out of 10 would think you were talking about the candy.
This song didn't make any dent until 1999. That's why I'm saying it's weird to have it in this tournament.
