On a side note, Big Daddy Kane and Heavy D's second albums came out right around the beginning of the school year (89). They both had videos over the summer (Smooth Operator and We Got Our Own Thing) but the albums came out in the fall. At least thats how I remember it.

Anyway everybody was anxious to hear Kane's second album but truthfully Heavy D's album was better. I'm not saying Heavy D is a better rapper than Kane but his second album was better than Kane's second album.

If you woulda asked me IN '89, I would have said Wild Thing. However, by the end of the year I was pretty much done with that joint; it had been run in the dirt. I spent NYE in '89 at a roller skating rink with my lil brother and sister all night and I swear every 3rd song was "Wild Thing". They played it so much that night that by the time we left at 6am new years day I absolutely hated that shit.
