If it was a new artist on the scene I could understand it, but considering this was lil wayne who had been on the mainstream level for at least half a decade at that point, I can't completely agree with your point. Wayne had a longer track record than The ClipseIt was the competitive drive in The Clipse. Imagine an artist dressing like you that you deem inferior getting all the fame and success and you having a hard time trying to put an album out (back when they were having issues with Jive). You gonna feel a way, especially when they start saying they're "the best rapper alive since the best rapper retired".
I agree but from their perspective I think they saw it differently.
Like Wayne was rapping like he was the step child of Dipset and then dressing like them. I think their reasoning was stupid but I don't know what goes on with certain rappers
They speak on it here
I think it's interesting they insinuate Wayne has writers. That's something I've ways believed. Like Drake IDGAF what you say had to have gotten that from somewhere or an environment where that was accepted. I don't believe he just woke up and decided he was gonna enlist Quentin Miller. I still believe that Wayne some point had another rapper write songs for him.
beat was firethat's all Swizz Beatz.
Malice was better than push imoHaven't had the time yet but I've been planning to listen old clipse & re-up gang shit cause every now and then when I hear old shit I start to think Malice might've been better than Pusha T
